cēnāculum (caen- and coen-), i, n. cena, orig., a dining-room, usu. in an upper story; hence, an upper story, an upper room, a garret, attic (later, the dwelling of the poorer class of people): ubi cubabant cubiculum, ubi cenabant cenaculum vocitabant.
